Several new programs are available at different academic levels. At the Diploma IV level, UNS offers Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Digital Marketing, Digital Banking and Finance, and Mandarin Language for Business and Professional Communication. At the Diploma III level, the university has launched Informatics Engineering and Accounting programs at the Off-Main Campus (PSDKU) in Madiun. Meanwhile, at the Bachelor’s level, UNS is introducing Plant Protection, Public Administration (PSDKU Kebumen), and Informatics (PSDKU Kebumen).

For 2025, UNS will welcome students across 97 study programs, including 15 Diploma III programs, 7 Diploma IV programs, and 75 Bachelor’s programs. The university has set a total admission capacity of 10.815 students, with 8.940 seats for Bachelor’s programs, 600 for Diploma IV, and 1.275 for Diploma III. According to Ministerial Regulation Number 48 of 2022, UNS allocates at least 20% of seats for SNBP, at least 30% for SNBT, and up to 50% for Independent Selection (SM).

UNS Rector Highlights Commitment to Academic Excellence

During the 2025 New Student Admissions Socialization, held on Tuesday (4/2/2025), UNS Rector Prof. Dr. Hartono, dr., M.Si. emphasized the university’s continuous efforts to enhance competitiveness. He reaffirmed UNS’s vision of becoming a World-Class University.

“UNS is one of Indonesia’s leading universities, steadily advancing towards World-Class University status. To achieve this goal, we invite the nation’s brightest, most competent, creative, and adaptable students to join us,” Prof. Hartono stated at the G.P.H. Haryo Mataram UNS Auditorium.

He also underscored the importance of school principals and guidance counselors understanding the new student admission policies. Furthermore, he encouraged prospective students to thoroughly prepare for the selection process. The SNBP registration period opened on February 4, 2025, and will close on February 18, 2025. Schools should ensure that qualified students take advantage of this opportunity.

Key Policy Updates for UNS Admissions 2025

Prof. Hartono also highlighted the new regulations affecting student admissions.

“Ministerial Regulation Number 62 of 2023, which revises Regulation Number 48 of 2022, must be carefully considered. Students accepted through SNBP cannot register for SNBT or Independent Selection. Likewise, those accepted via SNBT and who have completed re-registration cannot participate in the Independent Selection,” he explained.

“UNS consists of 14 faculties, one vocational school, and one postgraduate school, offering nationally and internationally accredited programs,” he said. He also highlighted UNS’s global recognition, including its rankings in THE World University Rankings, QS World University Rankings, and other international listings.

The Crucial Role of Schools in SNPMB 2025

Meanwhile, Bekti Cahyo Hidayanto stressed the important role of schools in the 2025 SNPMB process. Once schools complete the School and Student Database (PDSS) registration, students will enter the selection phase under their school’s supervision. He also outlined UNS’s admission quotas:

• At least 20% of seats for SNBP.
• At least 30% for SNBT.
• Up to 50% for the Independent Selection.

Bekti also reminded participants of the important SNBP 2025 dates:
