UNS — The Dean of the Faculty of Sport (FKOR) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama opened the International Journal Writing Workshop, in Madukara Room UNS Inn, on Monday (4/10/2021) morning.
On this occasion, he was accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FKOR UNS, Dr. Rony Syaifullah, and Head of UNS Public Relations and Media, Dr. Deddy Whinata Kardiyanto.
Dr. Sapta Kunta, in his speech, states that the workshop was held to help students understand the publication stages in reputable international journals indexed by Scopus.
Additionally, he hopes that students can publish research articles that correspond to their literature studies research.
“There are numerous prerequisites and qualifications. One of them is Scopus. There are some (party/institution) that require Scopus. Because the journals indexed by Scopus are reputable journal publishers,” said Dr. Sapta Kunta.
Dr. Sapta Kunta also said that publication in reputable international journals indexed by Scopus could be an indicator of higher education quality assurance.
“Because the quality assurance of Scopus become a trend in Indonesia. It has publication stages, writing style, and many other aspects. Indeed, we must follow global guidelines. These aspects are important to understand, which leads to a general standardization. Hopefully, after this workshop, students can understand this specific knowledge, and all of us can comprehend the objectives need to be achieved,” he states.
The workshop invites two speakers, namely Ludiro Madu, S.I.P., M.Si., and Dr. Jumintono M.Pd from ‘Rumah Scopus Akademi.’
The participants are students from undergraduate, Master program, and Doctoral programs in FKOR UNS. The participants must follow a strict health protocol during the Workshop. Humas UNS
