UNS — The series of Carnival and the Opening of the 47th Dies Natalis Exhibition of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta on Thursday (9/3/2023) was very lively. The procession was attended by Organ Leaders at UNS, Vice Rectors and Faculty Leaders. Its participants seemed enthusiastic, complete with traditional Indonesian clothes and various traditional clothes.
The carnival fanfare started from the courtyard of the Ki Hadjar Dewantara Building UNS. The carnival participants walked through the South Gate of UNS towards the Lembah Teknik (Technical Valley) of the Faculty of Engineering (FT). Lembah Teknik is also the location for the 47th Dies Natalis UNS Exhibition 2023.
This exhibition lasted for three days and two nights until Saturday (11/3/2023). Meanwhile, the exhibition was opened and could be visited by UNS academics from 08.00 – 21.00 WIB.
Various products and performances by UNS academics enlivened and decorated every corner of the exhibition. These products are the work of UNS students and lecturers during the implementation of the Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM).
The 47th Dies Natalis UNS Exhibition Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Okid Parama Astirin, M.S., promised many interesting attractions. The exhibition would indeed be enlivened by performances of music, singing, dance, literature, and martial arts from UNS academics.
“This is an interesting event, three days and two nights. Hopefully that this will be a monumental event in the 47th year of UNS,” Prof. Okid said.
The Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., said that UNS was going through beautiful days. Because in the next few days UNS will commemorate its 47th Dies Natalis this year.
“We hope that with this 47th Dies Natalis, UNS will continue to develop competitive universities and quality universities at the national and international levels,” Prof. Jamal said.
He appreciated the exhibition which has been held since Thursday. This appreciation was in line with the enthusiasm of the UNS academic community as seen from the 43 booths of participation in the exhibition. Prof. Jamal thanked all the organizers and parties who contributed to the running of the event, especially to Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama, M.Pd., as Chair of UNS 47th Dies Natalis Committee and Prof. Okid as 47th Dies Natalis UNS Exhibition Coordinator.
“While we continue to advance education, research and community service, we will also continue to develop innovations and downstream activities that we do,” he stated.
Finally, Prof. Jamal invited all UNS academics to jointly enliven the exhibition in the framework of the 47th Dies Natalis. The event was then followed by an exhibition opening ceremony by Prof. Jamal. Humas UNS
