UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, inaugurated the Executive Policlinic and Aesthetic Center UNS Hospital. The inauguration was held on Thursday (6/1/2022) at the polyclinic area 3rd floor of the UNS Hospital main building.
The ceremony was also attended by the Director of UNS Hospital, Prof. Hartono, and the executive board of the hospital. In his opening remark, Prof. Jamal stated that he is proud of various new innovations from UNS Hospital.
“In line with UNS achievements at the national and international level, UNS Hospital in its fifth birthday successfully spread its service operation, including what I officially opened, the Executive Policlinic and UNS Aesthetic Center. The opening of these services is a part of the grand design for UNS Hospital development road map,” Prof. Jamal stated.
Executive Polyclinic is a specialist policlinic service that emphasizes its comfort, timely service without queue, and service excellence. In comparison, Aesthetic Center is an overall service from the face, hair, and nail treatment from dermatologists and venereal diseases. Prof. Jamal also added that the target for UNS Hospital leadership 2016-2019 to be accredited as C type hospital had been achieved.
“In 2020–2024, UNS Hospital is targeted to be accredited as B type hospital and to be announced as Education Hospital by the Ministry of Health,” he added.

The Director of UNS Hospital, Prof. Hartono, stated that this policlinic applied a fast track system in serving patients from registration to screening. “So the cashier, apothecary, and laboratory are available. The patient enters, and if they want to wait for their lab result, they could wait at the small café; we will set music to make them comfortable. Currently, we are working on getting covered by BPJS class A; if it is not approved, then the target will be for non-BPJS,” Prof. Hartono explained.
Prof. Hartono added that the cost for medical screening would range from IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000 depending on the typed of the screening process. But the increase will not be significant compared to the normal clinic.
“For hospitalization, (Patient) enter normal rooms. Thus, this policlinic is only an entrance. We also distribute the morning clinic to evening clinic to avoid crowding,” he added. Humas UNS
