UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, inaugurated UNS Business to Business (B2B) Collaboration System. The inauguration ceremony was attended by UNS executive board through the Zoom Cloud Meeting platform on Wednesday (19/5/2021). Vice-Rector for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sajidan and the Coordinator for Information System and Planning Application Development Board, Winarno, M.Eng. accompanied the Rector of UNS and provided an explanation regarding the UNS B2B Collaboration System.
Professor Jamal appreciated the Vice-Rectors’ efforts to manage the bureaucracy of collaboration according to the Five Pillars of Rector’s Policies (5 Pilar Kebijakan Rektor). The UNS B2B Collaboration Information System supports the 5th pillar on optimizing the legal, collaboration, and bureaucracy. The Rector also stated that this system would assist UNS academia in the cooperation and hoped that the new application could be used to manage all collaboration documents in UNS. “At the university or faculty levels. Even I hope at the Program level as well. Therefore, I am sure that collaboration at the university, faculty, and program could be managed well,” he added.
Professor Jamal also explained that this system is integrated with SSO UNS, collaboration database, virtual payment, and program’s performance report. Thus, this application will assist the study program to function according to its primary duties. “It is effortless to check one another. I hope (it) will speed up the process of disbursing collaboration funds,” Prof. Jamal added.
Professor Jamal also said that after introducing this app, the complaints on the long and hard process of fund disbursement should decrease. Another positive impact of this app is that it will support the UNS cluster in the Directorate General of Higher Education (Dirjen Dikti) as a pilot project for a more straightforward, more transparent, and accountable collaboration.
The system itself was developed based on the suggestion from the units on the long and challenging process of submitting and disbursing collaboration documents and payments. “This system went through several FGD with Vice-Dean for Planning, Business, and Information Affairs and the existing stakeholders,” Prof. Sajidan explained in his remark. “Hopefully, with this launching, it (B2B or Collaboration Information System) can be applied in UNS starting today,” he added.
This application enables parallel verification from the Directorate of Collaboration, Development, and Internationalization; Directorate of Finance and Assets Optimization; and the Bureau of Planning, Information, and Collaboration. Thus, it is expected to speed up the disbursement of funds and improve its accountability. Prof. Sajidan mentioned that the system would monitor collaboration performance from all units in UNS and encourage those units to participate in achieving the Key Performance Indicator number six, collaboration.
