UNS — Welcoming the implementation of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program (MBKM) Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbud Ristek), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta launched MBKM grant for UNS students. This grant is expected to encourage student’s creativity to develop events related to the eight MBKM schemes, in this case, including internship, Thematic Community Service Program, entrepreneurship, independent study, teaching assistance, humanity activities, research, and UNS special scheme, state defense.
MBKM UNS Grant 2021 was officially opened by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, on Thursday (12/8/2021). In the launching, the Rector of UNS was accompanied by Prof. Ahmad Yunus as Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, and Dr. Sutanto, S.Si., DEA as Director of Academic Reputation and Student Affairs. The Director-General of Higher Education (Dirjen Dikti), Kemdikbud Ristek, Prof. Nizam also attended the event virtually.
In his opening remark, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho stated that UNS allocated IDR 1.7 Billio funds to support MBKM Grant this year. MBKM Grant aims to fund at least 170 event proposals with maximum funding of IDR 10 million per proposal.
“MBKM proposal must be proposed in a group with a maximum total member of 10 students. This grant is expected to attract at least 1,700 UNS students to conduct outside classroom learning with a total of 20 Semester Credits,” Prof. Jamal explained.
Dirjen Dikti, Prof. Nizam welcomed the UNS initiative to hold MBKM grant for students. Prof. Nizam hoped that students could prepare themselves to be excellent, creative, innovative, and adaptive students with a noble value.
The procedure for proposal submission starts from Call for Application and uploading proposal through MBKM UNS official website at hibahmbkm.integrasi.uns.ac.id. A proposal assessment follows the process to determine the eligibility of the proposal. Eligible proposals will be stored in PKM 2021 bank, and the university will monitor the implementation to improve the uploaded final report and outcomes.
