UNS – Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta cooperated with Jinan University College of Chinese Language and Culture (CCLC) Guangzhou, China. The collaboration was marked by signing the MoU between the two parties at Jinan University, Monday (09/17/2018).
The Dean of FIB UNS Riyadi Santosa said that the MoU with Jinan University was in context of developing Mandarin language in UNS. Through the MoU established between the two parties, there would be both student and lecturer in international internship programs.
Previously, Â we have worked with Jinan University and ended in 2010, so we renew it this year. There were several lecturers from FIB UNS graduated from Jinan University and there were some who were still studying there. There are also students who have internships at UNS and vice versa, Riyadi said, Friday (21/9/2018). By signing the MoU between both colleges, it was expected that in the future other faculties would follow to conduct the MoU with Jinan University.
Jinan University is also interested in developing Javanese language and local languages in Indonesia. The development and research of Javanese language will be developed into a Javanese-Mandarin dictionary. There are some foreigner researchers who are interested in conducting research and developing local languages in Indonesia, especially Java and Sunda, he added. Jinan University is also interested in documenting and conducting research on local languages in East Asia and we will also take part in it later, he said. humas-red.uns/Ath/Dty
