UNS – The Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta received a benchmarking visit from the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University (Unud) to explore insights about a healthy campus. During this visit, the delegation from Unud was welcomed by the Deanery of the Faculty of Medicine at UNS, the Healthy Campus Team, and the Green Campus Team of FK UNS.

Dr. I Made Sudarmaja, Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, expressed that the Healthy Campus program is highly commendable for implementation in the campus environment. Therefore, it needs to be developed and applied as effectively as possible.

“Looking at the ranking of the implementation of the Healthy Campus program, UNS has a good ranking, making it a reference for us to delve deeper into the well-established Healthy Campus program. I hope that the Healthy Campus program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, which has not been optimally implemented, can be better executed in the future,” he said during the visit to the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, on Wednesday (29/11/2023).

After receiving an overview from the Healthy Campus Team at the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, the Unud delegation toured various facilities at UNS.

Prof. Dr. Reviono, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at UNS, mentioned in his address that besides the Healthy Campus program, UNS also has many other programs that support the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, including community service, research groups, and project-based learning.

“As an example of integrated activities, during each Dies Natalis celebration, UNS organizes the Healthy Campus and Green Campus Competition. The criteria for the competition include six aspects: setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water, transportation, and education,” he stated.

It is hoped that through this visit, the Unud delegation can gain deeper insights into the policies and institutional support for realizing the Healthy Campus program at the faculty level. Additionally, they aim to acquire strategies for the development of the Healthy Campus program and solutions to challenges faced at the faculty level. Humas UNS
