UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta granted Honorary Professor for Human Resource Professional, Prof. (UNS). Dr. Soeprayitno, M.M., who was inaugurated as an Honorary Professor in Human Resources in the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. on Thursday (31/3/2022) in G.P.H. Haryo Mataram UNS Auditorium.
The Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., stated that a professor degree could be awarded through two means, academic track for faculty members and a non-academic person with excellent competencies. The first professor title, according to the Permendikbud No. 92 of 2014 regarding the Technical Guideline on Functional Credit System, which regulates that a prospective professor is a faculty member. The second option of professorship grant for non-academic members with exceptional achievement is regulated in Mendikbud Ristek Regulation No. 38 of 2021 regarding Honorary Professorship in University.
“The honorary professorship is granted legally after Mendikbud Ristek RI, Nadiem Makarim, signed the Mendikbud Ristek Regulation No. 38 of 2021 on 9 December 2021,” Prof. Jamal explained. UNS granted the honorary professor title for Prof. (UNS). Dr. Soeprayitno, M.M., for his expertise in human resources management and his achievement as a great motivator. The honorary professor also actively contributes to the Indonesian Business Association (Apindo). “Considering his track record, he is worthy of the title,” Prof. Jamal added.
In the open Academic Senate Meeting on Thursday (31/3/2022), Prof. (UNS). Dr. Soeprayitno, M.M., delivered an inauguration speech on Pentahelix Model in Human Resources Development in the Industrial Era 4.0 (The Implementation in Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka). He explained that the speech provides an illustration of how the fourth industrial revolution changed the human capital landscape that shifted the human resources development and university development policies. Prof. (UNS). Dr. Soeprayitno, M.M. also explained that a synergy between the education and industry needs to be built through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program as an independent learning option. “Thus, creating a link and match ecosystem that builds agile work ethics. The pentahelix model is expected to become a visionary solution and a new collaborative approach,” he added on Wednesday (30/3/2022).
Prof. (UNS). Dr. Soeprayitno, M.M., is an alumnus of UNS who currently sits on the UNS Board of Trustees (MWA). His main competencies are in Strategic Management, Human Resource Development and Organizational Behavior, Business Transformation and IPO preparation, and Turn Around Business & Business Process Re-Engineering. Dr. Soeprayitno, M.M., built his business career in 1986, starting as Supervisor, General Manager, Senior Vice President, CEO, and Chairman in national and international companies, such as PT. Indorama Synthetics Tbk (Integrated Textile Industry), Toshiba Electronic Group, PT. Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) & Indika Group (Broadcasting, Mining, Hospital & Medical Services), and Bluedot Insurance Group (TPA/ASO/Insurance Support Services).
In 2011, Prof. (UNS). Dr. Soeprayitno, M.M., started his entrepreneurial journey in Mining, Healthcare equipment, and consultancy while serving as the Director of PT. Pusat Studi Apindo (Apindo Training Center). He is involved in formulating the national economic, social security, and employment policies as the Commissioner in DJSN RI, the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Commission 2014-2019, and Vice-Chairman of Policy Commission 2019-2024. He is also actively providing public speech and mentoring in various SOEs, private firms, and universities, such as UNS and Universitas Trisakti Jakarta.
According to the Rector UNS Decree Number: 290/ UN27/KP/ 2022, Prof. (UNS). Dr. Soeprayitno, M.M., is inaugurated as Honorary Professor in Human Resource Development from 1 March 2022 to 28 February 2025 and could be reappointed according to the prevailing regulation. HUMAS UNS
