UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta launched a new coffee shop outlet, Friday (16/6/2023). The outlet is called UnS Coffee “U and Us Coffee”. UNS academics and the public can order various menus at the booth located in the Lobby of the Ki Hadjar Dewantara Tower UNS Building.
UnS Coffee is a modern coffee brand that serves a variety of coffee menus that are typical of Graha Yasa Selaras (GYS) Food and Mice. The launch of this business also marked the success of the collaboration between the UNS Business Management Agency (BPU) and GYS Food and Mice.
The tagline “U and Us Coffee” describes the closeness or warmth between customers and the coffee they consume. UnS Coffee also offers an interesting concept for visitors.
The sense of touch concept allows visitors to hold UnS Coffee cups with unique packaging. Through the concept of sense of hearing, visitors can hear the meaning of UnS Coffee “U and Us Coffee” which conveys the meaning of being close and warm while enjoying coffee at UnS Coffee.
In addition, the concept of sense of taste provides an opportunity for customers to taste coffee variants with roasted coffee beans using products from GYS Food and Mice. With the concept of the sense of smell, visitors can smell coffee either through the coffee-making process or a distinctive room fragrance. Finally, sense of sight makes it easier for customers to see UnS Coffee’s brand identity from the point of view of interior design, menu, and atmosphere.
UnS Coffee serves coffee-based beverage products that use typical coffee beans from GYS Food and Mice itself. The menu innovations available at UnS Coffee are the Kopsuren menu, Optimal Crisu, Joko Tingkir Coffee, and others. In addition to the coffee-based menu, there are non-coffee products and snacks. Visitors need not worry because the menu is sold at an affordable price.
Director of PT Graha Yasa Selaras, I Gusti Bagus Ari Budayana said that UnS Coffee was the fifteenth outlet. Several outlets are spread across major cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya.
“This is our fifteenth outlet and the second is in the form of a coffee shop,” Ari said.
Furthermore, UnS Coffee will be equipped with a smart canteen, a technology-based service. Orders can be placed via the application to facilitate service.
The Interim Vice Rector for Planning, Business, Cooperation, and Information UNS, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, M.Sc., Ph.D., said that UnS Coffee was a suitable place for UNS students and academics to stop by to enjoy coffee.
“If you want a light lunch, just come here. For example, if you want to wait for class, you can come here,” Prof. Irwan said.
The combination of education services with serve funding is considered to provide many benefits. He also hopes that this effort will continue to grow with the addition of other outlets to the UNS Tower. Humas UNS
