UNS – The Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Hospital (UNS Hospital/RS UNS) Surakarta, receives aid in the form of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) from the fourth daughter of the late President Soeharto, Siti Hediati Hariyadi or Titiek Soeharto, Monday (6/7/2020).
Titik Soeharto’s arrival was welcomed by the Deputy Director of Medical Services Hospital UNS, Prof. Dr. Sri Sulistyowati, dr., Sp.OG(K). While wearing a mask, Prof. Sri Sulistyowati took Titiek Soeharto into the lobby of UNS Hospital.
In front of Prof. Sri Sulistyowati and all Medical Member in UNS Hospital, Titiek Soeharto states that the PPE aids delivered to UNS Hospital are her form of concern toward the doctors and medical staff. “We deliver this PPE aid because it is urgently needed for doctors and paramedics. Maybe this is not much, but hopefully, it can be useful,” said Titiek Soeharto.
In her visit, the fourth daughter of the late President Soeharto does not forget to give moral encouragement to the physicians and medical personnel, especially in the UNS Hospital, who have devoted their energy, time, and thought, in helping the community-fighting Covid-19.
Responding to the PPE aid delivered by Titiek Soeharto, Prof. Sri Sulistyowati expresses her gratitude for all forms of support and donation given by Titiek Soeharto to the UNS Hospital COVID-19 Task Force. “Many thanks for Titiek Soeharto for her kind support and contribution. We will utilize the aids properly and Insyaallah all will be useful,” said Prof. Sri Sulistyowati.
During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, UNS Hospital is appointed as the second-line COVID-19 reference in Central Java through the Central Java Governor Decree (SK) No. 445/46 of 2020 regarding Reference Hospital for the Second Line in Prevention of Certain Emerging Infectious Diseases in Central Java. Moreover, based on the Minister of Health Decree No 216 of 2020, UNS Hospital also appointed as COVID-19 examining Laboratory that has been operating since last 13 April 2020.
As the second line reference for COVID-19, UNS Hospital is strengthened by 23 medical staff from various specialization under the command of di Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr. SpP-Konsultan. Added to the total staff number is the Covid-19 Laboratory Team consisting of Specialists in the laboratory and Molecular Biologists. Meanwhile for the Covid-19 patient service, attended by the Covid-19 Task Force from various professions totaled 120 people. Humas UNS
