UNS Library has already had its new building after the renovation. This library is made to be the only library operating in UNS by dismissing all faculties’ libraries since now they are merged in the central library. Regarding to the new policy, UNS Library has created a new service hour for all UNS academicians.
Pustaka Ilmiah Clinic and Cafe located on the west part of first floor next to Self Access Terminal (SAT) of UNS Library. These Pustaka Ilmiah Clinic and Cafe can be used for discussion area, studying area and other activities.
There is a new facility which is Pustaka Ilmiah Clinic and Cafe located on the west part of first floor which opens for 24 hours, so then if the academicians want to have discussions or any other learning activities; they can utilize this available room. There are also drinks (tea and coffee completed with sugar and hot water) provided in this area for the visitors, so then if they want to have some drinks, they can make it by themselves.
The service hour is increased by 1 May, 2016. As known that on the previous time the library only operates from 7.30 am to 3.00 pm. Now for weekdays it is extended until 5.30 pm. Besides, the library’s working day is also extended to Saturday— from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm. This new schedule is expected to be able to accommodate the interests and needs of UNS academicians in literacy, discussions and reading habit.

The library is still on renovation phase due to all the books from the faculties’ libraries should be moved to the central library. The inventory processes, both data collection and structuring of faculties’ libraries, are targeted to be done by the end of the semester.
