UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta opens the 2nd Batch of Standalone Admission Track (SM) for undergraduate programs 2021. The 2ns Batch Standalone Examination for New Student Admission (SMJU) starts on 30 June and will be closed on 10 July 2021.

The Chief of UPT SPMB UNS, Prof. Dr. Hadiwiyono, stated that UM UNS is a new student admission track held by UNS besides SNMPTN and SBMPTN. The 2nd Batch SMJU is opened for SMA/MA/SMK graduates in the last three years. The applicant will be selected based on their Computer Based Written Examination (UTBK) issued by LTMPT 2021 or Written Examination Score (UTUL) held by UNS.

The requirement to apply in this admission process is the applicant has UTBK 2021 Score or participated in and has UTBK 2021 Score and UNS UTUL 2021. Additional requirements that UNS could consider are non-academic certificates such as a certificate for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd winner at reasoning, interests/talents, religion, and others championships at the provincial/national/international level achieved during their high school study; and the Certificate for Hafidzul Al-Quran (minimal 15 Juz) or Al-Kitab memorization achieved during applicant’s high school period.

“In SMJU-UTBK and SMJU-UTUL, only students graduated from natural science track in High School could apply for the Medicine Education Program. While high school graduates from both tracks could apply for all Social and Humanities programs,” Prof. Hadiwiyono explained on Wednesday (30/6/2021).

SMJU-UTUL for Science and Technology programs are only open for high school graduates from the science track, except for Psychology, Agribusiness, and Agricultural Extension & Communication, which are available for science and social science track high school graduates.

UKT is paid on a semester basis and varies among the programs. SPI is paid once the student is admitted to the program and could be completed in two installments. SPI also varies among the programs. Students who have KIP-K are free from UKT and SPI.

Exam simulation will be held on 12 and 13 July 2021, and an online exam will be held on 14 and 15 July 2021. The SMJU result will be announced on 19 July 2021.
