UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta received a visit from the Institut Teknologi Sumatra (Itera) on Friday (28/7/2023). The visit was part of a benchmarking activity for the Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID) team from Itera to UNS. The Itera delegation was warmly welcomed by the UNS PPID Team in Meeting Room 4, dr. Prakosa Building, UNS.
The Itera delegation was led by the Head of the Bureau of Planning, General Affairs, and Academic, drh. Sri Sulistiawati, M.M. She was accompanied by the Public Relations and PPID team from Itera. The visit was directly received by Danang Tomi Harjanto, S.Sos., as the Acting Head of General Affairs and Human Resources Beurau UNS., Dr. Deddy Whinata Kardiyanto, S.Or., M.Or., as the Head of Public Relations and Media Unit UNS, and the UNS PPID team.
The visit took place after the implementation of the Monev Consolidation of Public Information Transparency for State Universities (PTN) in 2023. Danang expressed his delight at the visit by the Public Relations Team and PPID Itera and also hoped for a fruitful discussion and useful information for both parties.
“We can discuss and share insights that will be beneficial for both of us,” Danang Tomi Harjanto, S. Sos. said.
drh. Sri Sulistiawati explained that the visit of the PPID and Public Relations Team Itera was for benchmarking purposes. Previously, PPID Itera received the title ‘Moving Towards Informative’. On this occasion, Itera aimed to improve its PPID title to ‘Informative’.
“Hopefully, even though it is a brief visit, it will be enough to ask some questions and seek advice on how to achieve ‘Informative’ status from Itera,” drh. Sri Sulistiawati said.
Both PPID teams from the two universities presented their respective structures, main tasks, and functions. Danang Tomi Harjanto and Dr. Deddy shared information on how the UNS PPID team carries out its functions and achieves the ‘Informative’ title. Additionally, Dr. Deddy also shared information about the performance of UNS Public Relations concerning its tasks.
“We, from the Public Relations and Media Unit, are also involved in the UNS PPID Team. Our tasks and functions include managing internal relationships among institutions within UNS. Some of the PPID tasks are also carried out in our department, ” Dr. Deddy explained.
