UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta ranked 9th in the National Science Week (Pimnas) 2021 by winning seven medals, one gold medal, and one silver medal on presentation, two golds, two silvers, and one bronze in the poster category. These results were announced in the Malam Puncak Pimnas 34 in Universitas Sumatera Utara, Friday (29/10/2021).
This achievement is UNS’ best accomplishment to be ranked in Best 10 Pimnas. The Director of Academic Reputation and Student Affairs, UNS, Dr. Sutanto, DEA., appreciated UNS students’ accomplishments in the competition held by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and technology (Kemristekdikti).
“Alhamdulillah, this evening UNS is breaking the record. Our formation 3-3-1, 3 golds, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze. This evening UNS also started great achievement we are included in the Best 10 of best universities in winning Pimnas medals,” Dr. Sutanto, DEA.
The Director also mentioned that this achievement is the result of hard works from all related parties, campus, and finalists. UNS, through its PKM Center UNS, facilitates students from the preparation of Student Creativity Program (PKM) proposal to the preparation for Pimnas.
“Congratulation for everyone, everyone wins, nobody lost. We fight again; we try again next year. Thank you for the struggles, hard works; thank you to everyone from PKM Center who facilitated everything,” he added.
One of the silver medalists in the presentation category, Jeesica Hermayanti Pratama, stated she was delighted to win her first medal in Pimnas. Previously she participated in Pimnas twice in 2019 and 2020. “Alhamdulillah, the third Pimnas, I broke my record, won a silver medal in the presentation category. The tips, do your best and pray to God,” she stated.
