UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, inaugurates Tax Center: Accounting and Taxation Clinic UNS. This inauguration ceremony was conducted at UNS Mesen Campus on Wednesday (14/12/2022).
In his remarks, Prof. Jamal expresses his gratitude for the establishment of the UNS Tax Center. Because Tax Center established by UNS will also provide education services delivered by UNS lecturers and professionals.
“I hope this Tax Center can serve as supporting measures for Merdeka Belajar Kmapus Merdeka (MBKM) Program. Specifically by bringing opportunity to students, especially from Diploma in Accounting Study Program and Diploma in Taxation Study Program, to gain more awareness and participate in the programs organized by UNS Tax Center,” explains Prof. Jamal.
On this occasion, Prof. Jamal also thanked all parties who initiated the establishment of the UNS Tax Center. He also encourages the Head of the UNS Tax Center to keep various activities in UNS Tax Center.
“I believe with the excellent level of expertise available in the SV UNS, along with the concern and collaboration to develop SV, future development and innovations will be easy. Once more, I thank you all,” added Prof. Jamal.
Meanwhile, the Head of the UNS Tax Center, Drs. Hanung Triatmoko, M.Si., Ak., hopes that after this inauguration, the Tax Center can contribute to improve taxation education to the public and internal academic community.
“Hopefully, we can always increase the engagement level for all taxation-related activities, including research and community service. All of this effort is expected to answer public inquiries on why tax is crucial and why we must pay tax,” said Drs. Hanung Triatmoko.
Lastly, Drs. Hanung Triatmoko reveals that through the inception of the UNS Tax Center, his party wishes to take a role in taxation education.
Wishes to support the inauguration were also delivered by the Head of the Central Java II Regional Office (Kanwil) of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), Slamet Sutyanto. He reveals that he supports the inauguration of the UNS Tax Center.
“We will always support all institutions or communities activities that aim to encourage tax compliance. We, as the authority of taxation affairs, will always provide all necessary support.
