UNS — The Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta strengthens the synergy with various parties. This time around, UNS explores collaboration with its alumni who serves as village head in various regions. The Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, welcomes these seven alumni.
In a workshop held at Javanologi Great Hall (Pendopo Agung Javanologi) UNS, Wednesday (24/3/2021), the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal states that synergy between the university and alumni is highly expected. Alumni are invited to maintain communication with the university and collaborate in various aspects.
“I really expect a partnership with all of you because the campus and alumni are like a coin with two sides, the university on one side and the alumni on the other side. I am waiting for your visit here, you can visit here often,” Prof. Jamal states.
In line with Prof. Jamal, the Vice-Rector of Research and Innovation UNS, Prof. Kuncoro Diharjo, admits that he is excited about the visitation of the alumni. He hopes that the agreed-upon synergy can bring many benefits to other parties.
“You can check the well-developed villages in Indonesia, behind its government there must be a reputable higher education institution, thus this synergy will be perfect. Let’s move forward together,” he reveals.
Also attending the occasion was The Head of LPPM, Prof. Okid Parama Astirin, the Head of PUI Javanologi, Prof. Sahid Teguh Widodo, Secretary of PUI Javanologi, Prof. Diah Kristina, Secretary of UPKKN, Budi Siswanto, S.Pd., M.Ars., Head of UPT Diklathut Gunung Bromo, Dwi Priyo Ariyanto, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., and Implementing Coordinating Body (Bakorlak) SAR UNS, Muhammad Sholihin to explains the programs from each office.
One of the alumni, Dwinanto, S.E., states that his party actually need assistance from UNS, especially in term of ideas and knowledge.
“We need this assistance because in the village we have to face the reality, but is lacking in terms of ideas and human resource for research activity. Therefore, we hope for the assistance to develop our village and become the pride of UNS,” says the Head of Krandegan Village, Purworejo Municipality. Humas UNS
