UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta student won another proud achievement. This time, the student of State Administration Science Program Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNS, Bima Maulana Rahmad Hidayat, won the Most Intelligent category in Kece Cari Presenter (Kece Find a Presenter) held by Kece TV by Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa), Friday (23/4/2021).
In the competition held in Unesa Campus Library Building 4th floor, Lidah Wetan street, Surabaya, Bima Maulana went through a strict selection process, and he competed with 144 participants who send their video under three text options provided by the committee. “There are three types to be presented and uploaded to participant’s Instagram account. I selected hard news and acted as a presenter for hard news,” Bima Maulana explained.
After completing the first round selection process, Bima Maulana competed to enter the Best 50, which continued smoothly until the Best 10. The Best 50 competed by presenting a live report on their Instagram account. In this stage, Bima live reported the weekend traffic from Tugu Kartasura Roundabout. The Best Ten were invited to Surabaya to attend the grand final round. The Best Ten came from different institutions starting junior high school to public universities.
“Me, from UNS, Universitas Bhayangkara Surabaya, three finalists from Universitas Negeri Surabaya, IAIN Jember, two finalists from Universitas Nasional, SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Waru, and SMA Petra 2 Surabaya,” he explained.
Bima Maulana shared the challenges he faced in the competition, preparing wardrobe, control oily food intake, and iced beverages. With his achievement, he hopes that his future competitions could add to his shining accomplishment list. He also wants to hone his public speaking skills to achieve his dream to work as a master of ceremony (MC) or news anchor.
“Hopefully, I can develop this soft skill as a passion that needs to be continuously honed and as my personal branding. For other students, to share positive energy to continue creating. For my alma mater to contributes to the list of achievements, especially for FISIP,” Bima Maulana concluded. Humas UNS
