UNS — Nugroho Hasan, Agricultural Extension & Communication Program (PKP) Faculty of Agriculture (FP) student Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta became a presented in the 1st International Undergraduate Conference on Agriculture and Life Science. This event was held by Princess of Naradhiwas University Thailand and attended by 90 people from five countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Iraq, Libya, and Thailand.
Hasan wrote a paper on mushroom cultivation in Gondangmanis Village titled Identification Process of “Japigo” Mushroom Chips Composition in Gondangmanis Mushroom Business Group. Hasan completed his article in one month. He admitted that he got the information on this seminar from Eksa Rusdiyana, S.P., M.Sc., a Faculty Member in his program, and his supervisor in this event. Hasan stated that he wants to enrich his international experience.
“Especially in scientific publication and paper presentation. To train self-confidence too,” Hasan explained on Thursday (1/7/2021).
This seminar was held simultaneously with the Excellent Student Selection (Pilmapres) at the university level. He also had many laboratory assignments to complete. With all preparations he went through, Hasan presented his paper in early June 2021, and his paper was nominated for the Silver Award in Life Science Session.
“I did not expect this award. My English was so-so, and my presentation video was prepared near the deadline. But I have the principle of being in confidence, and at the end, I got it,” Hasan said.
He hoped that he would continue learning English and participated in other international seminars. Humas UNS
