UNS – Student of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta have accomplished another proud achievement on the international stage. This time, the accolade was presented by Sally Devina Prasetya Ningrum, a student from the Visual Communication Design Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) UNS.
Sally successfully won the Grand Prix at the 3rd Daesang Eat Travel Film Festival 2023, bringing home 10 Million Korean Won (KRW). The 3rd Daesang Eat Travel Film Festival is an exchange program organized by the Daesang Group Company based in South Korea. The cultural exchange activity is designed for students from three countries: Indonesia, Vietnam, and Korea. Participants from each country travel to produce short films about different cultures and cuisines. The theme of the short film was “Food and Respect”, and the entire production process used smartphones in its process. The short film is produced and promoted in groups consisting of six people from three different countries.
Upon achieving this honor, Sally expressed her joy and gratitude. “It’s truly an unbelievable moment that I have ever experienced, as I succeeded in seizing this golden opportunity. I am very grateful to have a cohesive, exciting and enjoyable team during the production process and our travels to the three countries,” Sally said to uns.ac.id on Tuesday (25/7/2023).
Furthermore, Sally shared that in creating the film poster, her primary focus was on how the visuals presented could leave a lasting impression on the viewers. The poster concept contains snippets of the story, inviting the audience to speculate about its contents.
