UNS — Student of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta is accomplishing achievement in the National Micro Teaching Championship organized by Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). Fitria Utami Putri Bintari, a student from the Master in Pancasila and Civics Education Study Program (PPKn), a student successfully won first place 1 in the said championship, which was conducted virtually from the beginning to the announcement stage.
Fitria admits that she did not expect such achievement. “I do not expect this achievement because the other participants’ work is better. Maybe because I deliver the real condition of education or school condition, thus I can win this competition,” she revealed to the uns.ac.id team a few days ago.
Through her participation in this championship, Fitria states that she wants to assess her competency. “I joined this championship to assess my competency, and indeed I wish to inspire people to stay productive during the pandemic,” Fitria explains.
As for the theme of her Micro Teaching competition material, Fitria takes on the idea of “Growing Creative With Technology.” For the competition, she prepares a learning material using barcode technology combined with the window shopping method. Therefore, the students must be literate technologically, creative, and critical thinking for the Ninth Grade PPKn material on social diversity issues. For this objective, Fitria must prepare Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), activities planning, and class simulation that invite several people to act as students.
Additionally, she explains that she learns to manage her time appropriately to complete the process. Thus, she can achieve such an accomplishment in the championship that was announced on Saturday (24/7/2021). “Time management is also crucial for me because aside from my duties as a student, I also have to work,” she reveals.
In the future, Fitria wishes to hone her expertise and to be an inspiration for others.
“Hopefully, I can enhance my competency, and through this challenge, I can inspire others. To achieve this, I create a Youtube Channel Tammy Putri Bintari to inspire others,” she concluded. Humas UNS
