UNS – Public Administration Master Program (MAP) of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta participated in the 2019 Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA) in Manila, Philippine. This year, this international conference comprised “Public Administration and The Future: Challenges and Opportunities in Realizing the Sustainable Development Goals and Directions for Reform and Capacity Building” as the theme.
On this occasion, MAP of FISIP UNS sent five delegations to be a part in this annual 2019 AAPA in Manila. The five delegations were two lecturers and three students; Prof. Dr. Ismi Dwi Astuti Nurhaeni with the article “Internationalization Policy in Higher Education: Who Gets What?”, Dr. Didik Gunawan Suharto, S. Sos., M. Si. and Irine Helvetikasari, S. Sos. and their article “Challenges of Public-Private Partnership in Human Resources Development of Textile and Textile Products PublicPrivate Partnership and SDGs”, Desti Permitasari, S. Sos. with her article “Internationalization of Higher Education in The 4th Industrial Revolution Era: Overview of Readiness and Capacity in The Implementation of Distance Learning in Indonesia”, and Nida Hanin Dary, S. IP. with “Strategic Planning of Human Resources Management in Supporting Public Private Partnership in Facing Challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0”.
“For three days starting from May 22 to 24, all the MAP representatives have got involved in the every single program in the 2019 AAPA, from an expert seminar to an article presentation. The expert seminar in this 2019 AAPA conference invited numbers of speakers around the world, some of them were Prof. Dr. Eko Prasojo, Dr. Rosemarine Edillon, Prof. Jose Chiu C. Chen, Dr. George Labaki, and Dr. Heungsuk Choi,” explained Prof. Ismi.
She added that the participation of the MAP lecturers and students in the 2019 AAPA conference was a manifestation of the output of the scheme research grants Postgraduate led by Prof. Ismi Dwi Astuti Nurhaeni and the research scheme of research group capacity enhancement (PPKGR) led by Dr. Educate Gunawan Suharto.
“The contribution of the lecturers and students in the 2019 AAPA international conference is one of the supports to the plan of MAP FISIP UNS internationalization,” she concluded. Humas UNS/Try
