UNS – Agung Prasetyo, a student of Informatics Department of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of University of Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta achieved a silver medal in the `10th International Innovation and Invention Competition` conducted by the Chinese Innovation and Invention Society Organization. The event held in Taipei Ambassador Hotel, Taiwan on November 10-14, 2019 was participated by 12 countries. After passing through the full paper selection, Agung Prasetyo qualified to compete in the final round and to attend a series events of grand final including research presentation in front of the jury.
Remotely Alert Coordinate of Ship Disappear (RADAR) led him to achieve a silver medal. RADAR is an instrument to help ships, especially fishing vessels that sink to track the coordinate and to send it via SMS to the center.
“By this instrument, hopefully, the position of the sinking ships will be easily found,” said Agung, Friday (11/22/2019).
Furthermore, Agung expressed his gratitude for being given the opportunity to represent Indonesia in this event. He said that it was his first time going to Taiwan. Therefore, a lot of experiences were gained by him starting from the preparation, document issuing, and the life experience in Taiwan. Humas UNS/Dwi/Try
