UNS – Twelve delegations for the National Competition in Mathematics and Natural Science (Kompetisi Nasional Bidang Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam – KN-MIPA) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta are ready to compete in KN-MIPA on August. UNS sends three students for each contested field; Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The delegations were selected from 57 students in an internal selection process conducted on 12-13 November 2019.
A delegate for Biology, Dewa Putu Adhi Nugraha Anom from Food Technology Program (ITP) Faculty of Agriculture (FP) stated that he will prepare well for the competition by preparing daily learning and reviewing schedule. UNS also conducted assistance for the delegates with a Faculty Member from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA). The assistance was effective from December 2019 by reviewing KN-MIPA questions and materials assessed in the competition.
Dewa who competed in KN-MIPA 2019 also reflected from his experience. The next selection is a Computer Based Test (CBT) on 4-7 August 2020. Dewa hopes that he can achieve the maximum result in KN-MIPA this year. “I and my friends hope that with the long-time interval between the internal and national selection process can provide more time for students to prepare for the stage II KN-MIPA selection. We also ask for prayers and support from UNS academic community so that we can get the best results and be able to bring good name for UNS,” he stated. Humas UNS
