UNS — Another proud news came from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta after one of its students won 2nd place in the National Infographic competition under ‘Optimizing and Contribution of Millennials in the Entrepreneurship Field amid the Pandemic in October 2020’ theme. This student is Fiska Amanda Mulia from the History Education Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). The competition was held by the Institute for Student Activity of Faculty (LKMF) Febipreneur Faculty of Islamic Economy and Business (FEBI) Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
In the competition, Fiska shared her idea concerning the pandemic and economy. She stated that pandemic is a challenge, and with innovation and digital technology, it can serve as a momentum for those who are careful to seize the opportunity. “The increase of internet users means that there is an increase in the market for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise or MSME who want to go digital,” Fiska said in an interview with uns.ac.id on Thursday (14/1/2021).
Fiska said that she was delighted to find out that she won the competition because it can add value to her brand that she raised in the last three years, the Bronislur. The Bronislur business is offered in the current style with variations of brownies developed from product innovation. In the competition, Fiska emphasized her brownie chips that have four months shelf life without preservatives. “The flour used in the production is also substituted with red rice flour with high health benefits and nutrition,” she explained.
Fiska hopes that her fellow students understand their passion and talent. She stated that developing self-potential is vital and should not wait for the opportunity. “Look for that opportunity and, if possible, create the opportunity,” she concluded. Humas UNS
