UNS – Great accomplishments were achieved by two students of Mandarin Department of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta in Chinese Bridge Competition on Saturday (04/06/2019).
The achievements were successfully managed by Aileen Vincentia Beatrice and Harun Al Rasyid. They are two students of Mandarin Department who have wonderfully performed in Chinese Bridge Competition 2019.
Harun, one of the winners of Chinese Bridge Competition 2019 admitted that his preparation for this competition is lesser than the previous competition. However, due to his strong will and hard work, this student from Weru, Sukoharjo Regency, was able to prove his competence and achieve the second winner in this event for the Central Java Region.
“When preparing myself for the competition, I had to travel a long way to practice. But I realize that everything must be struggled again and again to get a perfect result,” he said.
Besides him, a UNS student who achieved the first winner of Central Java Region Chinese Bridge Competition, Vincentia Aileen, also expressed her delight when winning the first winner.
“I did not expect to get this winning. For me, there are still many competitors who have better talent and art also more creative than me,” said Aileen.
In a cáiyì biǎoyǎn or talent and art performance, both of them present different performances. Aileen sung a song titled Dàn yuàn rén chángjiǔ Jiu when Harun performed Tàijí quán, martial art and smooth-flow gymnastics from China.
In the competition held in Sekolah Tiga Bahasa Bina Widya Surakarta, Mandarin Department delegated four sophomore students and four students at the fourth semester. There were eight names in total who had been submitted in a contingent.
This competition was interesting because UNS had to stiffly compete with Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) and Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED) that also did not want to lose performing in this competition. Humas UNS/ Yefta/Try
