UNS — Jetis Lor Villagers and Village Chief in Pacitan District appreciated the participation of Student Community Service Program (KKN) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta participants in initiating the celebration of the 277th Pacitan District Anniversary.

As reported by ft.uns.ac.id on Thursday (17/3/2022), Jetis Lor Village Chief, Sarmin, A.Md., Kep., shared his appreciation to the Group 120 KKN UNS for including all walks of life in their celebration plans. “Thank you to KKN 120 UNS students for initiating this program to celebrate Pacitan District’s anniversary. Hopefully, it will become an excellent memory for all students and benefit the community,” Sarmin stated.

The team leader, Dinda Imas Nurdhyanti, a student of the Civil Engineering Program Faculty of Engineering (FT) UNS, shared that the event aims to activate the PKK organization in the community through collective gymnastic activity. Based on the information they collected from the community, the Group held various competitions that brought together people from different hamlets in the village. “It is expected to maintain solidarity among the housewives in Jetis Lor village because the hamlets are located further apart,” Dinda stated.

The program received enormous enthusiasm from the local people because of the void of celebration created by the Covid-19 pandemic. “Both the village government and PKK members were awaiting this program because it had been so long there were no gymnastics and gathering together, especially it was held in Pacitan’s 277th Anniversary,” she added.

One of the participants stated that they were happy with the program. “I am delighted with the program; since the pandemic, this activity was rare. I was enthusiastic about participating,” one of the PKK members stated.

Lastly, representing her team, Dinda hoped that the program could become a good start for the people to start exercising again through gymnastic because exercising is vital in maintaining stamina. Considering the pandemic situation, participants were asked to obey the health protocol during the activities. Humas UNS
