UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta has once again achieved impressive accomplishments in 2023. Based on the announcement of the 2022 Main Performance Indicators (IKU) award organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology on Friday (21/7/2023) at the JW Mariot Hotel Jakarta, UNS successfully secured the second position in the PTNBH League or is in the top 10% of the 16 PTNBH universities in the league. UNS had to settle for second place behind ITS, surpassing leading PTNBH universities such as UI, UGM, ITB, IPB and others.
Additionally, UNS also received two additional awards for excellence: one in IKU 6 (collaboration programs with world-class partners) and another in IKU 7 (Collaborative and Participatory Classes). UNS’s victory in IKU 7 marks the second time, having previously achieved the same in 2021.
Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, the Rector of UNS, expressed his gratitude for these achievements. He revealed that this year’s performance was even better than the previous year. In the previous year, UNS ranked second among 12 PTNBH universities, and this year it ranked second among 16 PTNBH universities, which include USU, Unand, UNP, UI, ITB, IPB, Unpad, UPI, Undip, UGM, Unair, ITS, UB, UM, Unhas, and UNS.
“UNS is proud to note that our score has increased to 76.69 this year, compared to last year’s score of 74,” Prof. Jamal explained.
Prof. Jamal acknowledged that all these achievements were made possible through hard work, smart work, and dedicated efforts from all levels of leadership and the academic community at UNS. “Hopefully the harmony and good collaboration that have been established so far can be maintained and even enhanced for the advancement of UNS in the future,” Prof. Jamal said.
