UNS – 11K Solo Open UNS 2019 enlivened the 43rd Anniversary of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The event was opened at UNS Lake that also became a race start on Sunday morning (3/17/2019). The distance of this international scale race is 11 km starting from UNS to the city of Surakarta.
People from various regions, both domestic and foreign, participated in this race. The race was divided into eight categories: international men, international women, general men, general women, students, regiments student, college students, and military/police.
Darsono as the Vice Rector of Students and Alumni Affiars, stated that this annual event has broaden the scope especially for the students and the community. It also become the prestigious event for the runners. That being said, this event involved not only the domestic participants but also the foreign participants. It was expected that the event remains and keeps expandingits scale along with its better quality.
“This year, we make some improvements, such as the greater facilities for the participants, more sponsor partnership, and clearer race race system by using censor system instead of oral system. Furthermore, we also provided some imported medals and the best quality jerseys for this year. This year, the number of participants in the race almost hit 2000 people,” Safero Fajar Saputra, a student of Law Faculty UNS, stated as the chief of the committee.

- Category of International Women: Kales Eunice Cheyech from Kenya (43’50 “), Elizabeth Wanza Maithya from Kenya (47’45”), and Kimeli Viola Jepchirchir from Kenya (51’09”).
- Category of General Men: Nugroho from Magelang (39’04 “), Konradus Anselmus Taek from NTT (41’13”), and Marbangun from Sukoharjo (43’21″).
- Category of General Women: Septiana Dita Sari from Blora (48’56 “), Nani Dwi Purnanti from Salatiga (50’51”), and Risa Wijayanti from Kudus (51’24 “).
- Category of Student: Khunala Satria Amin (40’23 “), Ardi Wirayuda (42’02″), and Majid Suranto (43’52”).
- Category of Student Regiment: Avi Fiqi Fatwa from UIN Walisongo (48’39”), Khairul Fatchurrahman from UTP (49’50”), and M.Yusron from UNY (50’43”).
- Category of College Student: Wartono from Unirow (40’48 “), Doni Darmawan from ITNY (41’37”), Thaufik Hidayat from Malang State University (42’36 “)
- Category of Military/Police: Wayan (39’40”), Meimam (40’06”), Ikraman (41’09”), Romario Daloma (41’14”), and Ahza Hari (41’29”)
