UNS – The second stage of KKN Covid-19 Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta will be followed by 2,045 students and 95 of Field Supervisors (Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan – DPL). The release of Stage II KKN Covid-19 students was conducted online through Webex Cloud Meeting and YouTube Live Streaming on Friday (15/5/2020).
The Stage II KKN Covid-19 students release was attended by the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration (Mendes PDTT) of the Republic of Indonesia Menteri, Drs. H. Abdul Halim Iskandar, M.Pd. and Secretary General of Kemendes PDTT, Anwar Sanusi, Ph.D. This moment becomes a good opportunity for UNS to achieve direct suggestions from Mendes PDTT RI on the implementation of Stage II KKN Covid-19.
“The duty of village volunteers against Covid-19 is education concerning Covid-19, also preparation of health equipment or health needs such as running water, soap and isolation space,” Drs. H. Abdul Halim Iskandar, M.Pd. explained in his remark.
On the same occasion, Prof. Jamal emphasized to the participants of Stage II KKN Covid-19 to rise and move the social and economic potential based on the local wisdom. He reminded the sensitivity of student’s social care needs to be proven at this time.
“Therefore, use the saying that giving is the best communication as a basis or material to create a Real Work,” Prof Jamal instructed to the students.
Previously, Prof. Sudibyo as the Head of Implementation Unit (UP) of KKN LPPM UNS reported that 1,984 students will join KKN in Java, in 7 provinces, 94 Districts/Cities, and 61 students will join KKN outside Java in 18 provinces, 42 districts/cities.
“Based on the data update, so far there are 740 students registered for Stage III KKN Covid-19,” added Prof.Sudibyo.
