UNS — Another happy news came from the Undergraduate in English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The study program had successfully received an ‘A’ accreditation predicate from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) through a Decree No 5233/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/IX/2020 on Tuesday (8/9/2020). This was achieved after the Study Program after going through a various accreditation process that concluded with a Field Assessment on August 31st to September 1st, 2020. The Field Assessment was conducted online by two assessors from Universitas Negeri Malang, Prof. Mohammad Adnan Latief, M.A., Ph.D. , and Prof. Burhanuddin Arafah, M.Hum., Ph.D., from Universitas Hasanuddin.
This result is achieved because of the continuous effort from the study program in implementing higher education quality assurance system. The number of efforts to improve academic and non-academic services synergistically carried out by the entire academic community finally bear fruit with an increase in the accreditation ranking from ‘B’ to ‘A’ predicate. Moreover, with solid support from the institution, alumni, users, and the Quality Assurance System Development (PSPM) team, the Institute for Education Development and Quality Assurance (LPPMP) UNS.
Dr. Ngadiso, M.Pd as the Head of the English Language Education Study Program, states that the Program’s success is something to be grateful for because it brings a positive impact. “This improvement is something we are grateful for because it brings positive impact dor the institution, faculty members, students, and community,” explains Dr. Ngadiso, Tuesday (15/9/2020).
Further, Dr. Ngadiso mentioned that in the future the predicate needs to be maintained, considering that accreditation has become a part of international and external quality assurance systems. It also has become one of the commitments from the Study Program to implement the actions towards achieving the National Higher Education Standards. Humas UNS
