Friday (June 20th, 2014), UNS held a meeting in first assembly room situated in rector’s office talking about a plan to conduct a project called Evaluation of the Principals Preparation Program. This project is funded by Asian Development Bank represented by David when the meeting held and supported by Cambridge Education and Australian Council of Education Research. The project is going to evaluate programs, methodology, and principals’ performances related to the program that has been conducted by the Institute for Training and Developing Principals (LP2KS) led by Siswandari.

This project is a cooperation conducted by ACER and UNS and those two invited LP2KS to work together. The project will be carried out for eighteen months throughout Indonesia regions which are divided into nine regions. The goal of this project itself is to find out and evaluate the performances of the principals. These principals had been trained before by LP2KS, then they were instructed to steer the schools to apply the exact learning model.

Kristiandi confirmed that the result will be sent to the Ministry of National Education and Culture, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Agency for Research and Development. “After finishing this project, we will submit the result to those ministries and the agency. The result will show a portrait about principals’ performances and lead those ministries to consider whether the performances are good or those need reinforcement in particular sectors,” Kristiandi said.

Faricha as the representative from LP2KS told that LP2KS felt honour as their program is evaluated. LP2KS also conveyed an expectation for the follow-up of this project related to its programs models that have been developed. [dodo red.uns.ac.id]
