UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta adds three more Professors from the Faculty of Cultural Study (FIB), Faculty of Mathematics and Science (FMIPA), and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). The inauguration of the new Professors was conducted by Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., as the Rector of UNS on Tuesday (21/01/2020) in GPH Haryo Mataram Auditorium.
The three professors who got inaugurated were Prof. Dra. Diah Kristina, M.A. Ph.D., the 24th professor in FIB and the 213th professor in UNS, Prof. Dr. Eddy Heraldy, M.Si., the 17th professor from FMIPA and the 214th professor in UNS, and Prof. Dr. Drs. Mulyanto, M.Pd., the 63rd professor from FKIP and 215th professor in UNS.
Inauguration speech was delivered by each professor. The first Prof. Dra. Diah Kristina, M.A. Ph.D., delivered a speech entitled the Establishment of “Verbal Branding” for Product and Service with English For Specific Purposes (ESP). The second speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Eddy Heraldy, M.Si, entitled Utilization of Operation Waste from Steam Power Generator for a Sustainable Development. The last speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Drs. Mulyanto, M.Pd, entitled the Training Model for Batik Design Development in Small and Medium Enterprises.
During his remarks, Prof. Jamal encourages all professors in UNS to contribute to the community, listen to their opinions, create innovation, as well as bring up ideas and creativity.
“I encourage all Professors in UNS to take off their toga, leave our campus, attend, and open up in the community to listen to their ideas, create innovation and bring up ideas and creativity for the happiness of their lives,” Prof. Jamal said.
Moreover, Prof. Jamal also hopes that Professors will never tired of working. A Professor will be known for their creation. Therefore, to maintain their existence, a Professor needs to keep working.
This inauguration also attended by a famous presenter, Rory Asyari who is the son of Prof. Dra. Diah Kristina, M.A. Ph.D. Ustadz Wijayanto also present during the ceremony to fulfill a special invitation by Prof. Dr. Eddy Heraldy, M.Si. Humas UNS/Zalfaa
