During his opening remark, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho thanked the President of UEC Japan, Takashi S. Fukuda, who take the time to be present in UNS to follow up on the collaboration between UNS and UEC.
“We are grateful to be able to welcome the President of UEC Dr. Sci. Takashi S.Fukuda, in UNS. We would like to thank you for your visit to UNS. UNS is fully aware that in today’s globalized world, collaboration with higher education institutions from various countries is an important matter, especially to enhance the quality of education provided to the students in order to fulfill international standard,” says Prof. Jamal Wiwoho.
To achieve international education quality, Prof. Jamal wished that the graduates from every university can collaborate to improve the quality of current research.
“Forward, the collaboration will include education and research, while the MoU is signed today (Thursday (09/01/2020)-red). We also thankful for your trust in UNS as the host for UEC Office,” Prof. Jamal added.
Separately, the Director of UEC Branch Office in UNS, Dr. Budi Kristiawan, mentions that the collaboration with UNS is extraordinary progress. This is because the higher education institution in Japan is not easily willing to be invited to establish collaboration with universities in Indonesia.
“In Japan (red: the universities) the ranking is high, and UEC is willing to establish a collaboration with UNS is a good thing. In UNS, UEC will open a Branch Office and it will be the only Branch Office in Indonesia. The Office will be located in Postgraduate building on the 5th floor. This office will be used as a workspace and serves the UNS students who will conduct exchange studies and research with UEC,” says Dr. Budi Kristiawan. Humas UNS
