UNS – Contingents of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta that had departed to participate in XVI National Students Quran Recitation Competitions (MTQMN) on July 28 to August 4, in Universitas Syiah Kuala (Unsyiah) Banda Aceh successfully brought home the awards.
In this occasion, UNS delegated for 14 categories out of 16 categories competed in this competition organized by Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti).
From those 14 competition categories, UNS managed to achieve two winnings. They are Women Musabaqah Hifdzil Quran (Quran Memorization) 30th Juz’ and Musabaqah Mawlid Prophet Muhammad.
Of 8 delegates sent by UNS in the Quran memorization category, a Faculty of Medicine (FK) student, Fina Zakiyyah took the fifth place for UNS.
Meanwhile, in the category of Musabaqah Mawlid, UNS delegations also managed fifth place. They consist of Layyalin Mumtazah from Faculty of Agriculture (FP), Nur Nasichah Istiqomah from Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Mufti Rosyidatul Fauziah and Binti Masruroh from Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP), followed by Yati Susanti from Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).
Responding to the UNS achievements in the XVI MTQMN, Vice-Rector 3 of UNS, Prof. Kuncoro Diharjo expressed his gratitude for the success of the delegations.
“Alhamdulillah (all praise to God), those are the highest achievements of UNS during its participation in MTQMN,” he said.
For returning home the successes, UNS had to compete for 2.484 registrants of 230 universities in Indonesia. Humas UNS/ Yefta/Try
