UNS — Keluarga Solid Mahasiswa Bidikmisi (Komadiksi-Association for Bidikmisi Awardee) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, organizes a national webinar âKonnection 2020â on Sunday (11/10/2020). The webinar was taking on the theme of entrepreneurship and invites Agung Nur Prabuhudono, Ph.D., the Head of Undergraduate in Accounting Study Program, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNS, and Syifa Khusnul Khotimah, a young entrepreneur, as the speakers of the webinar. Also present on the occasion as the moderator is the UNS Outstanding Student 2020 for an undergraduate program, Imam Arifin.
Dr. Probohudono, in his presentation, states that in the 5.0 era, people cannot be separated from technology. âInternetâs role in the future and technology innovation can be viewed from society’s integrity. We as an innovator for the public needs can cultivate our creativity on the internet. The Internet of Things, we should be familiar with this technology, if not we will be left behind,â he explains. Further, he added the steps to be taken to face that era., starting from the initial stage, establishing a partnership, preparing a financial plan, selling quality, and employing technology.
Following Dr. Probohudono presentation, Syifa Khusnul Khotimah explains how she began her business, where her entrepreneurship journey was started since she was in elementary school. âMeanwhile, in university, I started with detox beverages. This kind of beverage must be completely sterile, then, I talked to my friend who willing to provide a production kitchen. My initial capital was only Rp 500,000, which I collected during the Eid festive. In the beginning, the production was still manual, using gut feeling, trial and errors, production, and marketing. Now, I have 50 resellers in 50 cities in Indonesia,â Syifa shares her story.
Syifa adds that the current digital era can bring those who are far away to be closer, thus it can be used for earning money. âSocial media can be used to make money and for learning. If you want to hone your entrepreneurship skill, it should be started early. For those who do not have a product brand yet, you can start with dropship and reseller,â Syifa concluded. Humas UNS
