UNS – The Center for Japanese Study (PSJ) of the Institute of Research and Community Engagement (LPPM) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta is visited by University of Electro-Communications (UEC) Tokyo, Japan, in PSJ Office in 2nd Floor, of LPPM UNS Building, Thursday, (09/10/2020).
During the special moment the UEC entourage, which was consisted of Dr. Sci. Takashi S. Fukuda (the President of UEC), Dr. Kazushi Nakano (Member of the Board of Directors UEC), Dr. Koji Enoki (Assistant Professor from the Department of Mechanical and Intelligent Systems Engineering), Keiko Kawakami (Sakashita) (the Head of the International Affairs Office), and Ikue Nagata (Staff of International Planning Section International Affairs Office), was welcomed directly by the Head of PSJ LPPM UNS Dr. Eng Kusumaningdyah N. H. S. T., M. T., accompanied by the Director of UEC Branch Office, Dr. Budi Kristiawan, S. T., M. T.
The visit by UEC Japan, aside from meeting with the PSJ members, was also intended to get to know the profile and activities of the PSJ that had been established at UNS such as students’ research, culture exchange, and student exchange for Japanese students to Indonesia.
Warmly, Dr. Sci. Takashi S. Fukuda greeted the member of PSJ LPPM UNS who had been waiting for their arrival since noon. Despite the unfavorable weather, the member of PSJ LPPM UNS, the enthusiasm of the PSJ members to have a discussion with UEC Japan has not diminished.
Familiarity is immediately established when the members of the PSJ LPPM UNS peer-group introduce themselves one by one. The members who attended the occasions are Elisa Herawati, M. Eng., Ph. D., who is a graduate from Osaka University, Pandu Purwandaru, S. Ds., M. Ds, Ph. D., who is a graduate of Chiba University, Prof. Dr. Suciati, M. Pd, a professor in Natural Science Education in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Dr. Eng. Indri Yaningsih S. T. M. T., who was graduated from Kyushu University, and, Dr. Eng. Kusumaningdyah N. H. S. T., M. T., who is a graduate from Kyushu University
Besides introducing themselves, the Head of PSJ LPPM UNS, Dr. Eng. Kusumaningdyah also explained about the vision and mission of PSJ LPPM UNS. Dr. Eng. Kusumaningdyah also mentioned that one of the PSJ LPPM UNS member, Dr. Eng. Indri Yaningsih receives a scholarship from Japan Society of the Promotion of Science (JSPS) for the year 2020.
Before visiting the PSJ LPPM UNS, the UEC entourage took the time to attend the inauguration of the UEC Branch Office in UNS, which located on the 5th floor of the Postgraduate Building. The inauguration is conducted directly by Dr. Sci. Takashi S. Fukuda and is witnessed by the Head of Integrated Services Unit (UPT) International Service, Irwan Trinugroho, Ph.D., and the Assistant Director I of the Postgraduate UNS, Prof. Dr. Agus Kristiyanto, M.Pd.
It is expected that this visit will strengthen the collaboration between PSJ with UEC Japan, especially in culture and student exchange. Humas UNS/Yefta
