UNS – Voca Erudita Student Choir of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta will compete again in international competitions. For the first time, this student choir which had accomplished international achievements since 2002, will take part in two competitions at once in Italia.

“It is our first chance to join two international competitions in a single time. The first one is 58th Seghizzi International Choral Singing Competition on July 18-22. Then, 8th Florence International Choir & Orchestra Festival on July 24-26,” said Hasyim, a representation of Voca Erudita UNS.

Meanwhile, Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho stated that this was a dedication from UNS and Solo for Indonesia.

“There have been so many achievements presented by Voca Erudita both national and international. Even, shortly, they are invited by President of Republic Indonesia to perform at the National Palace. So this is a dedication from UNS and Solo for Indonesia. We are trying to be global,” explained Prof. Jamal on the Conference Press of Voca Erudita Student Choir as an Ambassador for Millennial Generation of the UNS Pancasila Fortress Campus in the Auditorium UNS (07/01/2019).

The supports for Voca Erudita are also coming from various parties outside UNS. Namely KASGARTAP I/JKT, National Narcotics Agency (BNN), Agency for the Implementation of State Ideology of Pancasila (BPIP), Surakarta Administration, GKBRAA Paku Alam X, and Gerakan Ekayastra UNMADA. One of the support was declaring Voca Erudita as the Ambassador for Millennial Generation. Humas UNS/ Kaffa/Try
