UNS – Alumni Association (IKA) Faculty of Law (FH) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held Wedangan IKA on “Pro Justitia: The Alumni of Faculty of Law UNS Steps and Achievement in Building the Nation” on Wednesday (29/7/2020) through Zoom Clouds Meeting and YouTube live stream in Universitas Sebelas Maret channel. The event was attended by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., as an alumnus of FH UNS and delivered an opening remark.
Another remark was provided by the Chief of IKA FH UNS, Prof. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, S.H., M.H., who explained the background of the topic to raise and remind the role of law that can grow in various field of community life. Prof. Zudan also explained the membership card for IKA FH UNS members. “Connecting, Uniting, and Sharing with the Motherland” is the tagline selected to connect IKA FH UNS.
Dr. Siska Diana Sari, Sh.H., M.H., as the moderator of the event, assisted the discussion. There were 8 speakers invited in the event. First, Dr. Panji Widagdo, S.H., M.H., alumni FH UNS 77 opened the sharing session. He explained that a good alumni connection will bring benefits, especially in work life. Alumni FH UNS has maintained a good relationship among the alumni. The next speaker, Dr. Bambang Sugeng Rukmono, S.H., M.H., alumni of class 83 shared his experience as a prosecutor.
“We must be able to carry out the mandate given to us properly and correctly. It means that we have to be grateful and perform our duties well,” Dr. Bambang concluded. The twist and turn and challenges that he experienced often challenged him to provide his best decision. Thus, someone needs strong principles and foundation.
First Marshal of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) Dr. Sujono, S.H., M.H, CFRA joined in sharing his experience in the field of law and his career in the military. Military education is an important experience that shaped him. Dr. Sujono also took undergraduate until doctoral education in FH UNS.
A story is also told by Ahmad Zabadi, S.H., M.M., alumni FH class of 87 who shared that the principle of quick and precise decision which plays an influential role in his life. He shared various experience from his principles until his current career as deputy supervision of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Kemenkop & UKM). Joko Suranto, S.H., M.Hum. FH UNS 88 added to the entrepreneurship study by sharing his career as a business person. The Founder & CEO of Buana Kassiti Group shared his career struggles and achievement which is inseparable from how he prioritized his parents and keep doing good.
The next speaker, Yossi Istanto, S.H., M.Hum FH UNS 92 who currently work in Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) as the Director of Human Capital, Legal & Compliance since 2019. On the occasion, Yossi discussed the topic of “Transforming Human Capital, Legal & Compliance Bank BTN in promoting productivity”. The presentation consists of his career and efforts to contribute to the development of his company.
Another story came from Alumni FH UNS 91, Erna Ratnaningsih, S.H., M.H who works as an advocate. The title of Srikandi of Indonesian Law was once pinned on her because of her struggle in the field of law. Erna stated that woman should be able to live independently and be productive, particularly in the field of law, which requires a strong mentality.
To close the occasion, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ayu Ketut Rachmi H, S.H., M.H., FH UNS 91 as the Dean of FH UNS conveyed the development of FH UNS. Alumni play an important role in supporting the development of the faculty. The real prove of IKA FH UNS efforts is the construction of FH UNS postgraduate building from alumni donations. Prof. Ayu also invited the alumni of bachelor programs to continue their master and doctoral study in UNS and contributes to FH UNS accreditation. HUMAS UNS/RATRI
