UNS — The Secretary of the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Higher Education (Dikti), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), Dr. Ir. Paristiyanti Nurwardani, M.P., carried out a working work visit to Surakarta on Friday (17/9/2021). In the midst of the visit, Dr. Paris takes time to visit the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, accompanied by the Vices Rector, Deans, and Directors of UNS, warmly welcomes Dr. Paris.
The visitation was to discuss budget absorption and the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in UNS. Dr. Paris states that she greatly appreciates UNS performance, since less than one year after being appointed as a State University with Legal Entity (PTNBH), UNS has excellent KPI achievement. “In the middle of this year, I feel like UNS has accomplished excellent achievements with great KPI achievement. I was astonished too, how come a new PTN-BH university exceeds the performance of other universities that have long been appointed as PTN-BH universities. This is remarkable,” Dr. Paris reveals.
Further, Dr. Paris explains that UNS’ budget absorption reached 100 percent. This accomplishment shows that program implementation in UNS is conducted appropriately, proven with the optimum budget implementation.
On the other hand, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, expresses his gratitude for the appreciation. However, he reveals that his party is determined to improve UNS performance to maximize the implementation of Kemdikbudristek KPI. “We are grateful that the Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education (Sesditjen) is pleased to visit UNS because we wish to get input and suggestions regarding the KPI achievement since KPI is our lucky charm,” said Prof. Jamal, followed by participants’ laughter.
Additionally, the KPI provided by the Ditjen Dikti Kemdikbudristek consists of eight main points, namely, 1) appropriate employment for graduates, 2) students’ opportunity for getting off-campus extra-curricular experience, 3) off-campus academic members’ professional activities, 4) visiting lecture by practitioners or experts, 5) lecturers’ work utilized by the community, 6) study program partnerships with global partners, 7) collaborative and participatory learning, and 8) internationally accredited study program. If these eight points can be achieved, a university will be categorized as an advanced campus. Humas UNS
