UNS — Nearing the end of June 2021, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a visitation research in collaboration with Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) and Universiti Brunei Darussalam. The “Visiting Research: Research Collaboration Festival (Research Co-Fest)” event was held online through the Zoom Cloud Meetings.
An opening remark was delivered by Prof. Dr. Dra. Okid Parama Astirin, M.Si., as the Director of Research Office UNS, Dr. Rosnah Abdullah, M.Sc., Ph.D. as the Director of Center of Advanced Material and Energy Sciences (CAMES) Universiti Brunei Darussalam, and Teguh Endah Saraswati, M.Sc., Ph. D as the Chief of Plasma Science and Technology Research Group UNS. All of them shared their appreciation and enthusiasm for the event.
Further, Prof. Okid shared her wish that this collaboration will positively contribute to all of the partners. “I hope this collaboration could continue deeper and improve research quality in various fields and significant positive impacts (for all of the partners),” she said on Saturday (26/6/2021).
The event was followed by a material presentation by speakers from all of the university partners. Dr. Maria Ulfa, S.Si., M.Si., from UNS presented her research on “Gelatin Based for Green Synthesis Nanomaterial”, followed by Prof. Dr. Didik Prasetyoko, S.Si., M.Sc., from ITS with a presentation on “Micro-mesoporous Aluminosilicates for Biofuel Production”. The last presenter from Universiti Brunei Darussalam was Dr. Hasliza Bahruji, M.Sc., Ph.D., with her presentation on “Catalyst CO2 Hydrogenation”.
After the presentations, all attendees had an interactive discussion on the presentation materials. Participants asked questions and inquire deeper for more information and research findings. Humas UNS
