UNS — Dario Team from the Industrial Engineering Program Faculty of Engineering (FT) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta won the best presentation in the national business competition. The team that consists of Marcellinus Abellard Arioseto, Mohamad Rafdinal Setyoko, and Deas Felice Muhammad won the competition held by the Student Association in Business Administration Science Faculty of Social Science and Law (FISH) Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM).
Marcell and his team submitted their business idea titled “Sayurin” which successfully brought them to compete with the other ten finalists in the competition.
“Sayurin is an online market grocery that offers services to deliver vegetables to home by shorting the distribution channel from farmers to markets in Solo. Thus, vegetables are cheaper, and the risk of being infected with Covid-19 could be minimized by not going to the market,” Marcell explained.
This idea was inspired by the team’s personal experiences because their parents needed to visit the market to purchase their kitchen needs every week during the pandemic. Further, Marcell explained that the business plan targeted Solo Raya, Jogja, and Semarang regions.
“The process will be website and application-based; in this competition, we present the website prototype,” he added.
Marcell and the team admitted that they were delighted and hoped that their achievement could motivate them to continue accomplishing other achievements in the future.
“The experience to be the best presentation could equip us in the future,” Marcell said.
Moreover, the competition that was also participated by 10 finalists from various universities in Indonesia: Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), Universitas Indonesia (UI), Politeknik Negeri Batam, UNS, Universitas Siliwangi (Unsil), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Udayana, and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).
