They are Adhirajasa, Yesika Azzukhruf, Panji Pramayswara Pamilih, and Farhan Nurfi Afriansyah from Civil Engineering Department Faculty of Engineering (FT).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The four students who are the members of Semar Solid group created a type of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC). SCC is a high quality concrete that can compact itself.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;We made SCC which is environmentally friendly and bagged. The SCC method makes concrete that can compact itself without requiring vibration or other efforts to compact concrete,&#8221; Panji explained on Thursday (4\/10\/2018).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this method, Panji continued, marble waste and cow bones are processed in such a way as a mixture of materials in creating concrete.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;A lot of waste is wasted from these two materials, so we use it. Both can make concrete harden faster and can also increase the compressive strength of the concrete,&#8221; Panji stated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yesika added that bones are used in concrete structures because they contain large amounts of Calcium Oxide (CaO). CaO itself is the largest composition in cement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Likewise, marble which has the main chemical elements namely Silicon Dioxide \/ Silicate (SiO2), Calcium Oxide (CaO) and magnesium Oxide (MgO). The chemical content is partly contained in cement. Besides chemical elements, marble is also known to have a high compressive strength.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;When tested, our concrete compressive strength reached 20 (Mega Pascal) at 24 hours. About 41.6 percent of the compressive strength is 28 days,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Yesika, their concrete innovation can be applied to road construction. It is because their concrete hardening process does not take a long time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;For ordinary concrete is processed around 3 days, it can be 40 percent compressive strength. We only have one day,&#8221; Yesika explained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, the use of these two materials is considered more economical because it can save costs of around 7.78 percent from making concrete using ordinary materials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The work of the Semar Solid team has gone through a series of trials and was contested in an international concrete innovation competition 2018 held by the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS).
