{"id":14524,"date":"2019-07-18T22:12:18","date_gmt":"2019-07-18T15:12:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uns.ac.id\/en\/?p=14524"},"modified":"2019-07-18T22:12:18","modified_gmt":"2019-07-18T15:12:18","slug":"collaborating-with-mpr-ri-fh-uns-holds-law-enforcement-fgd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uns.ac.id\/en\/collaborating-with-mpr-ri-fh-uns-holds-law-enforcement-fgd\/","title":{"rendered":"Collaborating with MPR RI, FH UNS Holds Law Enforcement FGD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>UNS \u2013 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In alliance with The People\u2019s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), Faculty of Law (FH) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of law enforcement with the theme \u201cThe Authority and Responsibility of the President in a Judicial System to Uphold Law and Justice\u201d in Aston Hotel Solo (07\/11\/2019). The speaker was the chairman of Assessment Board of MPR RI, Rully Chairul Anwar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Executive Committee of the event, Maria Madalina, M.Hum. said that this FGD invited law experts from various mainstreams. They are experts from state-level administration law, civil law, criminal law, and also from academics. \u201cThere are lawyers as well, and students of doctoral program who concentrate on public policy related to the state,\u201d said Maria in the sideline of the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, the Chairman of Assessment Board of MPR RI, Rully Chairul Anwar, said that Indonesia had not succeeded in realizing the law as a commander.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt must be admitted that the law implementation is still anecdotal because the law has not become the utmost leader,\u201d Rully stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The justice seekers, all the citizens, demand the non-selective law. The equality before the law. According to him, it was all anecdotal and remind to be issues because the case had not finished yet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Assessment Board of MPR RI held the FGD related to the authority and responsibility of the President on the judicial system to enforce the law and justice in some regions. MPR want to absorb the local wisdom related to the law enforcement then submit it to the House of Representatives (DPR) and the parties\u2019 tops.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe result of this FGD expectedly can be a recommendation for the leaders of MPR.
