Ma&#8217;ruf Amin during the Open Senate Meeting on the 44<sup>th<\/sup> UNS Anniversary, in G.P.H Haryo Mataram Auditorium UNS, Wednesday (11\/3\/2020). This award is presented to the Vice President for his contribution to the development of sharia economy and finance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cIf I am not mistaken, this award is the highest award given for pioneering humanities and community in promoting and developing economy,\u201d said Prof. Ma\u2019aruf.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Prof. Ma\u2019aruf added that he receives this award along with an invitation that UNS can contribute to the national economic development, especially in Sharia Economy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cWe still need a long journey to establish Sharia economy as a source of benefit for the people. Really I never imagined that I will be awarded this award. As I mentioned previously, I am only a small part, only a small screw from a huge machine that drives the development of the Sharia economy in Indonesia,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Prof. Ma\u2019aruf believes that the presence of sharia economy can benefit the community. As a country with the biggest Muslim community, Indonesia should be the world leader in Sharia economy and finance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Prof. Ma\u2019aruf also congratulates the UNS academicians who celebrate the 44<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary.
