This forum is one of the programs from the scientific section of Student PLB Student Association that want to realize an inclusive environment in the community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cDiscussion Forum (Disco) is one of the programs from the scientific section of HMP PLB. In this event, we want to realize an inclusive environment in the community by studying the current issues that develop in the community,\u201d said Yoga Pradana, one of the event committee<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Large-Scale Social Distancing (PSBB) becomes a challenge for parents to provide education and healthcare for their children. Moreover for the parents of Children with Special Needs (ABK) who need time to adapt to the COVID-19 situation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cThe biggest challenge is how at-home activities for children in general, there are no significant problems. Even though actually there are many problems for many others. Thus, the point is it is not easy for children and parents in (facing) the changes in the learning pattern, then it must be recognized that currently after 1 month, children studying with their parents at home using an online system, parents and children have to learn from one another to adapt, there are some who are quick and there are some who are slow and even come to standstill,\u201d conveyed Dr. Joko.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In ABK there three different conditions namely productivity-related, independent, and filling spare time. \u201cThis is a part of the children\u2019s condition. There are those classified into heavy, moderate, and mild for children that have a pretty good ability in thinking, emotional, social communication, and others. For children who are the school level which only oriented at the independence, there is a probability (that they) need quite strict assistance and children with the need to fill spare time orientation (will) need extra assistance,\u201d said Dr. Joko.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dr. Joko suggested 5 things that can be done by ABK parents in the learning from the home strategy for ABK; parents should work with the school, follow the guidelines from school, make changes and adjustment, identify resources at home, and prepare home activities and daily study. Becoming parents for ABK amid COVID-19 is not an easy task. Parents and ABK must learn from each other and understand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cMy experience gave a signal that becomes a parent for ABK is not easy at the current situation. Of course, the strategy determined is also very dependent on the condition of each home. Let parents and children learn from each other. The school continues to help solve the problem of activities at home. Little or many, small or big support and assistant from school or teacher are very meaningful. Children must get a guarantee of quality education and healthcare in this COVID-19 pandemic,\u201d Dr. Joko closed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This discussion was followed by students and the general public from various areas. There was Al Azhar University, Cairo who also participated. The student of Ushuluddin Faculty admitted that she got useful new knowledge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cWhat I got from this discussion is new and useful knowledge, this kind of
