{"id":18551,"date":"2020-11-11T17:00:33","date_gmt":"2020-11-11T10:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uns.ac.id\/en\/?p=18551"},"modified":"2020-11-11T15:02:47","modified_gmt":"2020-11-11T08:02:47","slug":"the-rector-of-uns-won-the-1st-place-in-tsr-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uns.ac.id\/en\/the-rector-of-uns-won-the-1st-place-in-tsr-cup\/","title":{"rendered":"The Rector of UNS Won the 1st Place in TSR Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UNS<\/strong> &#8212; The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, successfully won the 1<sup>st<\/sup> prize of Tennis Sahabat Rektor (TSR) Cup Tournament held in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS Tennis court, Sunday (8\/11\/2020). In the tournament that played the men\u2019s double match, Prof. Jamal played in a team with the young tennis athlete, Ricky. The team defeated the team of Dr. Muhtar-Dhani in the third set of final rounds with a final score of 8-4.<\/p>\n<p>The final rounds provided an interesting match because Prof. Jamal was in a match with the Senior Advisor to Rector in Finance and Management Field UNS, Dr. Muhtar. The smashes from Prof. Jamal-Ricky often well received by Dhani who is quite good at tennis and brought a well match for Prof. Jamal-Ricky with his smashes. The match was enjoyed by UNS executive board and the Deans, including the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs UNS, Prof. Ahmad Yunus, the Vice-Rector for Partnership and Planning Affairs UNS, Prof. Sajidan, the Chairman of Academic Senate (SA) UNS, Prof. Adi Sulistiyono, the Secretary of SA UNS Prof. Hasan Fauzi, and the Dean of the Faculty of Sports (FKor) UNS, Dr. Sapta Kunta.<\/p>\n<p>Wrapping the final rounds, Prof. Jamal conveyed that he is happy with the tournament. He stated that the tournament is not just a common competition, but also a means to strengthen <em>silaturahmi<\/em> among his colleagues. \u201cThis was a great match. (I am) very tired and turned out Pak Muhtar and Dhani played very well,\u201d Prof. Jamal stated.<\/p>\n<p>This victory was a special gift for the Rector because the final rounds were held in his 59<sup>th<\/sup> birthday. A happy birthday wishes came from many people, including his wife and two daughters, who secretly planned a surprise celebration for Prof. Jamal. The rector stated that his wife refused when he asked her to go with him to the tournament, which is unusual. \u201cTurned out, she was preparing this gift,\u201d Prof. Jamal stated after receiving a bouquet from his wife who sang \u201cAku Makin Cinta\u201d song from Vina Panduwinata, before handed the gift. The birthday celebration was continued with prayer and tumpeng (traditional yellow rice) and tart cutting ceremony as a form of gratitude.<\/p>\n<p>The TSR Cup committee, represented by the Chief of Committee, gave a gift of tennis bag for the Rector. In the awarding session, the Dean of FKor UNS, Dr. Sapta Kunta, conveyed that TSR Cup will be held twice a year, on May and November with support from UNS banking partners.
