UNS<\/strong> — An economist from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Dr. Mulyanto, provides an analysis of the macroeconomic condition in the Soloraya region for 2021. This analysis was delivered through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) by Solopos on Solo Economic Virtual Outlook 2021: \u201cIt\u2019s Time to Rise\u201d broadcasted through Solopos TV Youtube Channel on Monday (18\/1\/2021) morning.<\/p>\n

In his analysis entitled \u201cMacro Economics and Social in Soloraya Region: a Planning Basis for Post Covid-19 Pandemic\u201d, Dr. Mulyanto states that the Covid-19 pandemic has greatly affected human activities, social sector, economics, and changing the community and government behavior.<\/p>\n

Further, he explains that during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, the government had faced several enormous risks such as economic crisis\/recession, change and shift of plans, changes in state fiscal policy, as well as optimization in science and technology advancement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a government plan for the National Economic Recovery in the business sector, MSME incentive, and social assistance. Thus, both Provincial and District level should set a budget on this,\u201d Dr. Mulyanto states.<\/p>\n

Moreover, considering the transfer of Mayor position in 3021, Dr. Mulyanto adds that there is a regional development mandate that must be finished by Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the elected Mayor.<\/p>\n

The mandate was provided in Article 258 of Regulation Number 23 of 2014 Regarding Local Government. Gibran Rakabuming Raka is expected to carry out the development to increase public income and equitable distribution of community income, job opportunities, business sectors, increasing access and quality of public services, and regional competitiveness.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, he also explains the comparison of the Regional Gross Domestic Bruto growth and its contribution to the Central Java Province.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpecifically for the Solo, based on the data for 2019, Surakarta recorded an economic growth rate of 5.78% with a distribution of Regional GDP at the current price of 3.53%,\u201d Dr. Mulyanto explains.<\/p>\n

Based on this data, Surakarta can be considered as a superior region compared to other regions. Only Boyolali District has a higher economic growth at 5.96%.<\/p>\n

Final Note on Economy<\/strong><\/p>\n

In front of Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Dr. Mulyanto also deliver several crucial notes for him to use during his governmental period.<\/p>\n

This note includes the potentials of several creative industries sectors, which can be used to recover Surakarta city’s economic condition. Included in this sector are a culinary business, fashion, craft, TV and radio, publishing, architecture, applications, and game development.<\/p>\n

Dr. Mulyanto added that it is important for Gibran Rakabuming Raka to focus on the realization of investment value. Because, the amount and value of economic realization will determine the amount of economic growth, absorption of labor, increase in people’s purchasing power, and reduce unemployment.<\/p>\n

\u201cEase in investment agreement can lead to more investors. Hopefully, this will lead to more absorption of labor, and contribute to the Regional Income through taxation and regional retribution,” he concludes. Humas UNS<\/strong><\/p>\n
