This time, the student of State Administration Science Program (AN) won 2nd position in Journalism Competition for News Anchor category held by Student Press Agency (Lembaga Pers Mahasiswa &#8211; LPM) Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (Unsika).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the competition that raises the theme of \u201cRecent Natural Disasters in Indonesia\u201d, Bima had to compete fiercely with 104 participants from various universities in Java and outside Java. The universities in Java including Unnes, UMY, UM, UNJ, UGM, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, while the universities outside Java including Unmul, Unand, UIN Alauddin Makasar, and Universitas Teuku Umar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe fierce competition was increased when the organizer invited three qualified juries. A News Anchor, Abu Amar; News Presenter TV Berita Karawang, Nurhayati Noy, and Host &amp; Presenter, Veronica Apriliana,\u201d the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) student class of 2017 stated, Tuesday (26\/1\/2021)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Facing the fierce competition, Bima prepared for three days before uploading his recording in his personal Instagram account @bimamaulana99 on Tuesday (13\/1\/2021). His preparation covers two aspects, first personal readiness in terms of voice and breathing quality, and second, the tools, including camera, news material, and performance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When asked about the special strategy he did, Bima said that he tried to present the best and meet all the criteria. On the other hand, Bima recognized the hallmark of reading news as his superiority. \u201cGood vocal and breathing in delivering news become supporting factors,\u201d Bima added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bima has been participating in similar competitions and said that this is a means to develop and hone his ability. He is also grateful for making a contribution for FISIP UNS considering students play a vital role in improving alma mater\u2019s quality through their achievement. In the future, he wants to participate in News Anchor competitions such as Voice Over or trying to be a radio news announcer. However, as an AN student, his first choice stays in working as Civil Servant (PNS), his long-time aspiration.
