UNS<\/strong> — Welcoming the Ramadan 1442 Hijri, the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a Ramadhan Teaching and Collective Iftar. This time around, the Faculty of Sport (FKOR) UNS becomes the host for the virtual and offline event, which took place in FKOR UNS Manahan and Zoom Cloud Meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wednesday event (14\/42021) is led by Dr. Rony Syaifullah, S.Pd., M.Pd., as the Vice-Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs of FKOR UNS. The event is starting with a performance by Eleven March Project Band that performs popular religious songs. Following the performance, there was an Al-Qur\u2019an recital by Wahyu Nian Tri Firmansyah, a student of FKOR UNS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"UNS<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Dean of FKOR UNS, Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama, M. Pd., in his opening remark, expressed his hopes and wished the UNS Academic members the grace of Ramadhan. \u201cHopefully, all of us can complete this Ramadhan worship, and all of our activities during this month can be a motivation for us to do good deeds,\u201d Dr. Sapta said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S. H., M. Hum., states that the current Ramadhan will be the second Ramadhan celebrated by the Muslims during the Covid-19 pandemic and hoping this Ramadhan can give a meaningful understanding of life. He also reminds the audience to always maintain their health during Ramadhan worship. \u201cThis Ramadhan also gives us an understanding on how to get closer to Allah SWT and how to understand the meaning of life to be a better person,\u201d Prof. Jamal states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"UNS<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Starting the main event, Prof. Dr. Zainal Arifin Adnan, dr., Sp.PD-KR-FINASIM., as the main invited speaker, delivers teaching on the great benefit of fasting for our health. Alongside Prof. Dr. Warto, M. Hum., (the Dean of Faculty of Cultural Studies (FIB) UNS) as moderator, Prof. Zainal Arifin explains that a serious intention to initiate fasting has an indirect effect on our body, which made us stay strong and does not starve easily. He further reminds the audience to remember their past good deeds and use them to introspect their actions. We need to remember that the Rasulullah, who is determined as Uswatun Hashanah<\/em> (a good example), kept doing his fasting even though he was free from sin and mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Closing his teaching, Prof. Zainal encourages the audience to keep each other words during Ramadhan because bad words from someone can ruin the holy Ramadhan fasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur words are the reflection of our heart. If we have a good heart, then all of our actions will be good, and if we have a bad heart, then all of our aspects will be bad,\u201d Prof. Zainal Arifin explains. Humas UNS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
